Project Update:
We’re excited to share some updates on Project AMPLFI. Team AMPLIFI and University Health Network Project Teams continue to work toward Phase 1 integration Go- Live scheduled for early August. Monthly expansion efforts are underway to bring live additional long-term care homes associated with our live health systems.
The team has been actively engaging facilities that are in post go-live operations and continues to gather feedback on change management and training resources. If you have suggestions or comments from your integration experience, we would love to know!

In the past year, Project AMPLIFI has supported the transfers of 6467 residents, allowing clinical documentation to be seamlessly exchanged between the health system and the long-term care home.
Benefits Realization: Observational Time Study
During the week of July 10-14, 2023, the Project AMPLIFI Benefits Realization Team members conducted training sessions for the Timed Observation Study with five Ottawa area Long-Term Care homes. The Timed Observation Study is being conducted as part of the Benefits Realization Plan which endeavours to assess the effectiveness, compliance, and adoption of the AMPLIFI integration.
The purpose of the Time Study data collection is to measure time savings pre and post-implementation for completion of medication reconciliation and documentation of immunizations, problem lists, and allergies per newly admitted or re-admitted resident from hospital.
The Ottawa site visits were very successful, with great staff attendance and engagement. After receiving AMPLIFI integration training conducted in tandem with the Time Study training, site staff expressed a strong desire to participate in the data collection to help report on benefits they now perceived to be possible post implementation.
The AMPLIFI Benefits Realization team would like to thank the Long-Term Care leadership teams and site staff for their unwavering support for enabling the onsite training sessions. Within the last week, multiple transfers have already been timed across the participating homes. The AMPLIFI Benefits team continues to work towards increasing the number of Long-Term Care homes participating in the Time Study across the province. If you are employed at a Long-Term Care home that is not yet live on the integration solution, please expect to receive an invitation to participate in this important data collection.
